2019: A YEAR FULL OF DESIGN, LIGHT AND ART

We started 2020 taking stock of a year that has been very intense. We have met many of our goals with you and we are already working on developments that will make this year unforgettable.

2019 we started it with a lot of work ahead to be able to surprise you at Euroluce 2019. We renewed all our image, our catalog, we reissued the 2D-3D files, the sample boxes … And with all this, in March, we launched a new website.

In April we traveled to Milan to get excited with our art pieces and our new lamp designs. There, for the first time, Leria art pieces were shown in their three versions and group Imos, a piece of wood art that deepens social behaviors. These pieces, wrapped by the Agora series, shone in Euroluce 2019 together with Aimei and Mytilus, the novelties in luminaires that we present this year. Aimei, was selected in Milan as one of the TOP 20 trend designs of the entire Salone del Mobile.

We have received you in our facilities and we have spoken with you to continue working hand in hand. We expanded our catalog by introducing the LED option in our designs and we have seen how many of your projects shone our lamps.

Bety and Nevo were part of the exhibition “Formas do Deseño. Galicia XXI ”in July and later, these designs traveled to Porto to be present at“ Galicia XXI or design as an engine ”an exhibition of the DIDAC Foundation that was presented in the framework of the Porto Design Biennale.

In October, the Audacia Festival of Arts and Entrepreneurship invited Arturo Álvarez to be an example of success stories in the fields of art and entrepreneurship. For two days, Encontros and Imos were exposed in the city of culture of Santiago.

At the end of the year, Arturo Álvarez inaugurated, for the first time in Portugal, an exhibition with his most artistic work in the Nave Curadoira art gallery. This exhibition curated by Mercedes Cerón was well received by the public and the press.

To close this year full of design, we launched the second edition of the arturo alvarez award for young talents, seeking to offer a new opportunity to the young promises of design.

Here you have a summary of this year full of design, light and art.
